The Shinwa Colossus Handmade Odachi commands attention with its immense 69" overall length and sweeping 45" heat-forged carbon steel blade. Built with full-tang construction, the blade runs through the length of the handle to support the sword’s large proportions. Odachi of this scale once appeared on early Japanese battlefields and were later carried as standards or presented as offerings, and the extended blade reflects that imposing presence. The hardwood handle is wrapped in leather, providing a secure grip along the long hilt and balancing the length of the blade. When stored, the sword rests inside a black lacquered wooden scabbard that protects the steel and complements the traditional lines of the weapon.
